Dogs

It’s very tempting to call them Grog Dogs, but given that’s the name given to a very popular menu item it could prove a little misleading at best, and rather shocking at worst. Regardless, man’s best friend, pooches, or quite simply, dogs are very welcome at The Grog & Gruel.

Don’t be surprised if you walk in with your dog and find that your needs are put to one side while the staff ensure that your dog has received a proper welcome, and quite possibly a tummy tickle too.

Dogs are very welcome in the downstairs Alehouse. Please ensure that they’re kept under close control, and be aware of those arohund you. It may be that there are others who are less keen on dogs (they do exist apparently). We can provide a water bowl, possibly a small treat, and you can order a Dog Sausage if your dog is in need of a tasty lunch.

Sorry, dogs (with the exception of Assistance Dogs) are not permitted in the upstairs restaurant.

Send us a pic of your dog enjoying the hospitality at The Grog & Gruel and we’ll add the best to our Grog Dog Gallery below.
