Open Music Session – All Welcome

Every Friday evening The Grog & Gruel hosts an open music session. Everyone is welcome to come along and make some sweet music.

As with all open true open sessions, the emphasis is on the informal. You’re welcome to bring your own accoustic instruments, or you can borrow ours. So long as no one has pinched them then we have guitar, mandolin and bodhran which you are welcome to use (and safely return).

Much depends on who turns up and quite what you fancy. Perhaps a little bit of Traditional Scottish Folk, but more likely something a little more contemporary. It’s entirely up to you. We do like a bit of cajun or perhaps some blue grass. Just keep us entertained and we’ll be happy.

For the none musicans, simply come along and enjoy the atmosphere, tap your feet and if you’re really enjoying it offer to buy the musicans a beer.
