We’re pleased to welcome Bruise back to The Grog & Gruel in 2017.

Here’s a few words about Bruise.

With three albums “B”, “Nobody Else” and “Little Victories” under their belt, festival appearances covering three continents and a huge touring schedule that takes them from Aberdeen to the Channel Islands, BRUISE are an independent, original band who have carved themselves a credible niche in the music industry.

With fans ranging from BBC presenters including Janice Long and Tom Robinson to Grammy winning producer Pete Smith(The Police, Sting). Bruise have stamped their uncompromising identity on an audience hungry for originality. Singer Isobel Morris is one of Britain’s finest songwriters whose songs are sung widely on the folk circuit. Her lyrics have been taught in schools. She is currently collaborating with Cathy Lesurf (Fairport Convention). The other half of this duo Jim Kimberley is a top flight session drummer whose recording and touring credits include Mark Knopfler, Nick Heyward, Paul Young and Squeeze.
